UniSwap for Bitcoin is here!

Many arrows point in the same direction as multiple teams across the industry build innovations that vastly improve user experience in the Bitcoin 2.0 ecosystem. With the rapid rollout of @tap_protocal and the applications built on it, Tapparoo rises to the occasion by providing an experience familiar to Uniswap and other smart-contract chain swapping applications. Meanwhile, Magic Eden is continuously building on innovation to improve user experience on Bitcoin and beyond. Yesterday, the ecosystem giant teased the possibility of cross-chain swaps, including a short visualisation of a $DOG (Rune) being used to purchase a Solana-based NFT. This would open up the somewhat secludes and intimidating Bitcoin ecosystem to users who have a harder time dealing with the friction of entering and learning about new ecosystems.

In other political news, we see Trump’s massive lead over Harris on Polymarket to become the next President of the USA has taken a big hit in the last day. Polymarket which is now the #1 news app on the App Store, shows Trump’s odds falling from a high of 69% down to 61% at the time of writing.

With the election just 5 days away, most polls show the race at a ‘dead heat,’ too close to call—a coin toss. This may also explain the odds falling back to a more balanced level, as the payout is far from balanced. Betting on Kamala is much more profitable and seems almost equally plausible. This divergence between the odds and the payout resulting in the current reversion to a mean, is understandable. On the more extreme end of the spectrum, possible election fraud reports have been cited as a reason for Trump’s recent decline in odds. Many believe a Trump victory would be bullish for crypto in general, which could explain some of the recent market downturn happening at the same time.

Daily Alpha | CZ First Public Appearance seems painfull

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) made his first public appearance at Binance Blockchain Week Dubai after serving a four-month prison sentence for anti-money laundering violations. In his interview, CZ described prison as a reflective period, missing family, friends, and the crypto community. We hope this image taken at the event doesn’t reflect how CZ is feeling at this time.

Following a guilty plea, CZ was fined $50 million, while Binance paid a $4.3 billion settlement. He joked about guards seeking crypto advice but refrained from commenting on his sentence’s fairness, though he noted similar violations hadn’t led to prison in other cases.

CZ now maintains a supportive, non-operational role with Binance. Looking ahead, he plans to focus on investing and a digital education platform, Giggle Academy, and remains optimistic, calling himself “very, very bullish” on crypto’s future.

Ordinals

With the overall markets taking another beating, ordinals are feeling even more pain today. Luckily, this is not directly reflected in pricing, as price changes show a balanced red and green picture. Still locked in their battle for Ordinal Collection dominance, Puppets took the top spot back from Nodemonkes today. Puppets also regained some of the losses from yesterday’s low, while Nodemonkes and Runestone both show slight declines.

The big winner today is Insurgence by Debauchery, with a massive 71% price increase.

Bitcoin Wizards also show some strength on this red day, and Bitmap recovers a bit of what it lost yesterday.

Sadly, the Based Angels retraced some of yesterday’s gains. RSIC, Pizza Ninjas, and OMB all suffered slight downturns as well.

Today’s moves align with the general market trends, reflecting overall declines in volume and a predominance of red across the board.

Runes

Yesterday’s explosive $8 million daily volume from the Memento•Mori mint has passed, and we’re back to business as usual with slightly below-average volume for Runes, aligning with the general market conditions.

Memento•Mori has lost a bit more of its value, creeping closer to the average minting cost of a bag following its intense launch. Yesterday’s big winner, LUCE•MASCOT•OF•THE•HOLY•YEAR, has also disappeared from the top Runes, which isn’t a positive sign.

Runes are showing low volatility across the top nine collections, with no clear winners or losers—all moving within their respective ranges.

Aside from some profit-taking, it’s a quiet market day.
