Reflections from Bitcoin Amsterdam
As mentioned last week, PhoenixxDown played a major role in one of the hottest side parties of Bitcoin Amsterdam's Day 1—the 10K Ordinals Party, laid on by big hitters in the space such as Punks on Bitcoin, Liquidium, Mood Labs, Ordinal Rabbits, and Ordinal Penguins. Amongst the drinks and socializing, there was a panel discussion where Phoenixx was specifically brought in to give the audience a look back at what it was like in the early days of Ordinals.

As an OG degen who was deep in the trenches way back in February 2023, Phoenixx shared his unique perspective on what it was like to buy, sell, and even the difficulty of storing assets back then was like. “It was my first panel discussion, and being up there with Ordinals G.O.A.Ts like Charlie Spears, Camski, Joe Ordinals, Robin from Liquidium, and Z3th from BitBoy was a bit of a baptism by fire!”
Representing sub-5K collection Ordinal Penguins at the event, Phoenixx was asked by moderator, Camski, what makes a community thrive? Was the Penguins' community mission something that was predetermined? “I’ve found that the best communities just figure things out as they go,” he explained.
“With the Penguins, there’s no founder saying, ‘oooaaahh, if you buy this, you’ll get this, and then stack that, and maybe get something ‘soon.’’ None of that. It’s just about 40 or so really smart, motivated guys who want to find alpha, make money, and have a good time while doing it.”
Wow. What an incredible night this has been. It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Tonight wasn’t just about bringing people together, it was about celebrating a shared passion for Bitcoin, for Ordinals, for this evolving space that we all contribute to.… x.com/i/web/status/1…

In the same spirit as his description of the Penguins, Phoenixx made sure to give a shoutout to the other communities that have enriched his journey in much the same vein, including XO and Neo Tokyo. “I met some wonderful people after the talk, and many asked where else I spent most of my time. I told them about XO and the recent achievements with BRC-555, but what I really emphasized was the solid foundation of OGs who show up every day in The Inner Circle, even when nothing is happening.”
He continued, “That kind of genuine, community-driven utility is why XO has weathered multiple bear markets in the Ordinals space. It’s not like other instances where 'community' is merely a buzzword used to mask a lack of real activity, which unfortunately happens all too often.”
This was Phoenixx’s first crypto meet-up and he encourages anyone on the fence to step out of their comfort zone and attend one. "I can’t stress enough how great it was to meet so many new people from all over the world, all of which share a common love, and I’m really grateful to everyone who organized that evening. Hopefully, I’ll be representing XO at the next one I attend."

Daily Alpha | Tesla's Bitcoin Transfer Raises Questions
In news that spooked some of the more lettuce-handed among us, it’s been reported that Tesla has transferred 11,510 Bitcoin—around $770 million—to several unmarked wallets. This is the first time the company has moved its Bitcoin since June 2022, sparking speculation about what could be happening behind the scenes. Some are wondering if Tesla is gearing up to sell, while others think this might just be a restructuring of its holdings for security or custodial reasons.

What’s important to note is that none of the Bitcoin has been moved to exchanges, which suggests Tesla isn’t offloading. Additionally, with the U.S. election only weeks away, and Elon Musk’s visible support for Donald Trump—a candidate who has embraced Bitcoin and crypto in his campaign—it seems unlikely that Tesla would make any major sell-off at this moment.
For now, it’s all speculation, but most are erring on the side of it being a positive move rather than a negative one.

TOTAL MOVED: $760M

Daily Alpha | Blockrunner and Bitoshi Clash Over Bitmap’s Future
As highlighted in yesterdays Daily Bites, the Bitmap community has hit a rough patch following the release of Blockrunner’s NATRIX system, a new approach aimed at making parcel distribution more efficient. Many in the community, especially those loyal to Bitmap’s creator Bitoshi, are pushing back against these changes. Blockrunner believes that their system offers much-needed improvements, but not everyone is on board.
After extending an invitation to Bitoshi for a conversation about the technical differences, Blockrunner was blocked on X, putting a swift end to the discussions. Blockrunner is concerned that Bitmap, once envisioned as an open ecosystem where developers could freely innovate, might be drifting towards a more rigid structure under Bitoshi’s leadership.

OMB is shaking things up, challenging the usual top spots long held by Bitcoin Puppets and NodeMonkes, who sit in 2nd and 4th place respectively. The recent surge in OMB activity has raised questions—could it be fueled by excitement for their upcoming event in Tokyo, happening in just a few weeks? Will there be an announcement? A new collection even?!

In the lower half of the top 10, Puppet Maxi Biz drops out completely, likely due to the fading hype following the Gizmo whitelist snapshot, which prompted many to resume selling. Meanwhile, Spyre jumps into 8th place with a nearly 250% rise in floor price—although this was driven by just four sales.
So, why Spyre? Though not as widely known as other communities, Spyre is led by @suganarium, a KOL currently in the spotlight for his recent buys of Solana-based AI token, $medusa. The buzz surrounding him may have contributed to Spyre’s recent sales spike.
Runes

After a sharp pullback yesterday, things seem to be stabilizing for Runes. The NodeMonkes community launched their own pet mascot, Koda Fluffington, which is now leading the charts. Rocktoshi, the NodeMonkes founder, has distanced himself from the Rune however. In other news, the AI trend gaining traction on other chains has bled over to Bitcoin with AI Etched This Rune climbing into the top 5.

Further down the list, activity has been relatively quiet, with well-known Blue Chip names like Pups and RSIC still holding their ground. However, newcomers such as BIP420 and Red Cat Romeo are starting to attract attention from those on the lookout for the next big moonshot opportunity.
