Ordinals Dead Again?
That was a fun 48 hours or so. The timeline feels a bit flatter today, with a surprising number of “Ordinals are dead” posts floating around. Are they really? It’s been said so many times now it’s hard to tell these days.
Bitcoin ordinals 30 day volume down 73.2%
Overall trend is downward leaning, i think we see more of this as we enter the summer months along with sideways price movement
When alts run, ordinals will run. BTC dominance being at 61% feels too high for that atm

The stats don’t lie, volume down 73% over the month is brutal, and it’s something we’ve highlighted often in our daily market analysis at the foot of the newsletter.
Bekah also raises the point of BTC dominance being too high still for alt season. We continue to wait there.
I’ll always be bullish on Ordinals, but right now, this is exactly what Ordinals deserves.
In the beginning, Ordinals was all about mutual support — a community helping each other grow.
Now, it’s mostly toxicity and constant comparisons.

Something else we’ve highlighted is the need for all Ordinals projects and enjoyers alike to come together to support each other. The Spirit of 2023, as we like to call it.
That doesn’t necessarily mean battering other maxis of alt-chains (not saying DONT do it either) but the in-fighting must cease before we can flourish again, that’s a given. It feels like we’re slowly getting there, certainly in Runes.
Would stop short of saying we, as a collective, deserve this though. There are many hard working projects and individuals still showing up every day.
Be more selective with who you support and amplify, perhaps.

Ordinals
It’s already been covered in today’s headline feature, but yes, the charts today tell the story that Ordinals are dead.
Temporarily, that is. This won’t last forever. Barbra had a nice post today, and the logic behind it applies well to the drudgery of the moment we’re in. Honestly, you could apply it to a lot of things in life.
Today’s a good day to touch grass, or just do something other than staring at the Ordinals chart.
A little encouragement to those who are struggling right now.
Life generally has seasons one of lack and one of harvest/abundance and so on.
Nothing is up only, it’s the same in this space.
So if ordinals collection prices seem depressing to you,remember “seasons”

OG Runes
$DOG looks great and continues to rise, closing in on a $300 million market cap.
Aside from $LOBO, which is up 14% today, it’s not so great elsewhere in the top 10. That said, we had a good couple of days... but is it too much to ask for more than that? Better days are coming, we say for the thousandth time. It’s true though.
There’s been some quiet discontent in group chats about Magic Eden again, and how bidders are able to suppress Runes prices when using DotSwap to arb. Some are hoping Magic Eden switches things up soon, with a few saying there’s a real blind spot when it comes to listening to their users.
OdinFun, FunkyBit, and Alkanes
Not much difference from yesterdays issue for these platforms today.
$BITCAT has extended its lead at the top, though there’s still no compelling reason for it to be anything other than a bundled fugazi.
No change on FunkyBit either, where volume is now hitting an all-time low, something that’s more of an ecosystem-wide issue than just a FunkyBit one.
On Alkanes, CheekyB finally breaks into the top 5 market caps, just as we suggested might happen in yesterday’s issue.
