XO Weekly #12 Recap: No Guest, Just (Digital) Gold

As always on a Friday, to round off the week, we hosted our latest installment of XO Weekly live on X. Despite not having a guest this time around, it turned out to be one of the most insightful editions we’ve ever put out!

For better or worse, the headlines have been purely dominated by tariff talk over the past seven days. It’s been a rough ride with plenty of volatility, but we wasted no time diving straight into it all from the off.

Landy kicked things off by breaking down the finer details of what these tariffs actually mean; not just for crypto, but in a much broader sense too.

While we were on-air, Trump dropped a (hilarious) statement urging Jerome Powell to cut rates. Naturally, this sparked plenty of reaction from the panel. Null also weighed in with his thoughts, including a sobering comparison to the events of the 2008 crash; an angle that deserves serious attention.

To put it bluntly, if you're trying to wrap your head around what’s really happening in the markets right now, this episode is a must-listen. 

Throw it on while you're working out, eating dinner, driving to work, whatever you must. Just make sure you stay informed from two of the sharpest minds in the game here.

In other news, we covered Magic Eden quietly moving the Runes tab to a more secluded corner of the site.

Are they giving up on Runes? Unlikely, but it’s not exactly a vote of confidence, let’s be honest. On the flip side, Satflow seems to be going in the opposite direction, earning more attention thanks to their Instant Trade feature. It’s now live, though still in the process of being finely tuned.

Bitcoin Eternals enter at number 10 today but are still minting and in the public phase, with 17% completed.

Quantum Cats recover slightly from yesterday, as do NodeMonkes, and Airheads come in at 9th, being the only collections to make a meaningful gain on an otherwise dreary day.

Typical weekend things, really.

Runes (Bitcoin Memecoins)

UncommonGoods is up 30% today, as expected; it always performs well when mempool fees are low.

Aside from that, $PUPS bounces back a bit from its annihilation a couple of days ago, $ZBIT continues to hold strong and breaks into the top 5, but it’s not such a great day for $NMS, which falls 13%, making it the biggest loser in the top 10.

Somehow, despite everything, OdinFun remains the only place that consistently gives us something to smile about.

Forsetiscn — despite having quite possibly the worst name imaginable for a token — is up 72% today, making it the day’s winner. OdinDog stays solid as a rock at the top, while OdinGold cements its 3rd position with a tidy 24% gain.
