Markets Get a Boost With A 3-Pronged Attack Of Good News

Today has been a day where the news is a win across the board!

First up, as highlighted in yesterday’s top posts, Senator Cynthia Lummis is officially reviving the Bitcoin Act. Formally titled the absolute mouthful that is the “Boosting Innovation, Technology, and Competitiveness through Optimized Investment Nationwide” (BITCOIN) Act, the bill proposes that the U.S. government acquire 1 million BTC (roughly 5% of Bitcoin’s total supply) using Federal Reserve funds, not taxpayer money.

Originally floated in 2024, the bill has picked up fresh momentum with new co-sponsors and aligns nicely with President Trump’s recent pro-Bitcoin executive order. Still, it’s unclear how this will play out in Congress.

Second, Rumble, the alt-tech video platform, revealed they’ve snapped up 188 BTC for $17.1 million, at an average price of $91,000 per coin. The announcement gave their stock a modest boost, climbing 2.18% to $7.96. Another institutional player stepping in during a choppy market, and you’re bearish?!

And finally, some welcome macro relief following the tariffs saga: U.S. CPI inflation data landed today, and it came in better than expected. The softer-than-forecast numbers have eased concerns over aggressive interest rate hikes by the Fed. Markets responded accordingly—Bitcoin shot past $83,900, snapping back after a stretch of bearish price action.

Will the pump hold? Hard to say in this market. But for now, it’s three green candles worth of good news sailing away from the sea of red. We’ll happily take that.

Ordinals

Are Ordinals back? Not quite yet—but there's definitely more chatter coming from outside our usual circles since the Taproot Wizards mint details were announced yesterday.

That excitement hasn’t translated into price action for the Top 4 just yet—Quantum Cats are down 13% today, while the others continue to linger in their respective 0.03–0.04 BTC zones. But there are exceptions—Bitcoin Wizards are up 33.5% today, as those priced out of Taproot Wizards look for alternatives.

Maybe it's just speculation that anything wizard-themed might pump once mint day rolls around. If that’s the thinking, maybe now’s the time to look around and see what other wizard-themed collections are flying under the radar?

Also, congrats to everyone who minted Relics. They’ve been flying and are second in volume again today, only behind Quantum Cats. In fact, Cats are pulling so much volume they’re currently top of all NFT collections across all chains.

When you put it like that, maybe there is a whiff of “being back” starting to creep in…

Runes (Bitcoin Memecoins)

A quieter day at the top with the Top 5 Runes being mostly static, with no major gains or losses. Market caps remain well off their ATHs, and $DOG still dominates the volume charts.

The bottom half of the leaderboard, though, is where the real movement is. $CYPHER and $SAIKO both posted solid gains, and $GIZMO still looks criminally undervalued at just $2.5M market cap (NFA, of course!).

The day’s big winner? $BITCAT, jumping 89% in the last 24 hours. Elsewhere, the other four are cooling off slightly after their strong recovery from the weekend carnage.

That said, OdinDog continues to look like it’s in a league of its own, now the 5th most valuable Rune, closing in fast on $RSIC in 4th.
