Rune Bids Are Here!

Magic Eden continues to impress users with their introduction of Rune Bids, released yesterday! This update allows users to place bids from the top 30 collections, making it easier for buyers to acquire Runes at prices lower than floor, and for sellers to quickly fulfill bids.

Here’s how it works: after funding your Magic Eden Wallet, you can enter the quantity of Runes you want to buy and the price you’re willing to pay, then submit your bid. Once submitted, the bid goes live, waiting for a seller to accept it. For sellers, accepting bids is straightforward—they can review available bids under the "Market Sell" tab and choose to sell either the entire bid amount or just a portion that fits their needs.

One of the major criticisms of Runes has been the friction involved in selling. The new bidding feature offers instant liquidity, which is a massive improvement over the traditional listing process that could take much longer to match buyers and sellers.

The reception from users has been highly positive, and some tokens have seen increased activity since its implementation, suggesting it’s already making a positive impact. But that’s not all Magic Eden has been up to...

One of the most anticipated updates is Swaps, a feature that will allow users to trade assets directly with one another, similar to how it’s done on other chains. This will be a major advancement for Runes once it becomes available!

Additionally, Magic Eden will introduce its platform token, $ME. It is believed that this token will function as a cross-chain currency and reward system, enabling users to earn $ME by engaging with the platform, although full details are still generally sparse.

TAP Protocol has made a major announcement that its $TAP token will be available on both the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks! This means TAP will not only be native to Bitcoin’s Layer 1 but will also have an Ethereum version, making it the first token to utilize TAP’s new TAP<>Ethereum bridge.
