Mintify Announces BRC-555 Ordinal Keys

As hinted by the ExtraOrdinal team on many occasions, the BRC-555 technology created for the XO Unchained marks a significant step towards enhancing the Ordinals ecosystem and improving user experience. Yesterday, Mintify announced the integration of BRC-555 technology into their first Ordinal collection, the BRC-555 Ordinal Keys! ExtraOrdinals provide technical advice to facilitate the implementation of BRC-555.

Mintify has been a trusted and active team in the crypto industry for many years. Earlier this year, they raised $3.4M. Mintify is building infrastructure for an NFT order book, targeting the gaming, art, and real-world asset markets. The platform currently supports Ethereum, Base, and Blast, and is now expanding into the Bitcoin and Ordinals ecosystem.

For Mintify, utilising BRC-555 allows them to update and enhance their collection over time, enabling the passes to function as an interactive on-chain loyalty system. For ExtraOrdinals, this is the first of many projects to implement the BRC-555 standard, solidifying our position as a technical innovator in the industry, in addition to our well-known focus on community, information, and profitable opportunities. This is specifically bullish for the Unchained, as they will be the first of many high-profile initiatives built using BRC-555, which will grant them increasing provenance.

After many recent positive comments related to Bitcoin, presidential candidate Donald Trump posted another crypto-related message on X today. However, this one has been met with far less positivity from crypto enthusiasts. Many comments are reporting it as a scam. From what we can tell, the project gives off strong traditional finance vibes and starts by asking for a wallet to perform KYC-verification.

At ExtraOrdinals, we would prefer if Mr. Trump focused on the more decentralised reimagining of the financial system utilising Bitcoin. We leave it to our readers to make their own decisions but always advise appropriate caution when connecting to any new platform.

Daily Alpha | First Ordinal at Christie’s

“Ascend,” a dynamic Bitcoin Ordinals artwork by Ryan Koopmans and Alice Wexell, will be auctioned at Christie’s London on October 10. This marks the first time a Bitcoin Ordinals piece is featured in a live Christie’s auction, highlighting the growing intersection of traditional and digital art.

Part of the “The Wild Within” project, “Ascend” reimagines the decaying Iveria Sanatorium in Georgia through digital art, blending photography with advanced 3D techniques. The Ordinal dynamically shifts between day and night modes based on the real-world time at the site in Georgia and overcomes Bitcoin’s file size limitations through recursion. The artists receive development support from Inscribing Atlantis to implement these feature.

The auction of “Ascend” signifies a major milestone for the adoption of Bitcoin Ordinals as a medium for digital art, expanding the general publics perception of Bitcoin’s role beyond financial applications to art preservation. The release of CZ: Even though it does not promise any clear upsides, the release of one of crypto’s biggest evangelists has to mean something.
Bullish September: If September is green, Q4 has been green in 100% of all cases.
More Rate Cuts: Jerome Powell says there could be two additional cuts this year, totaling 50bps.
Global Liquidity: After years of quantitative tightening, governments across the globe have been slowly easing up, with a sharp increase in global liquidity seen in the last few months.

FTX Repayments: Even though the repayments have been pushed to later in the year, the expectation is still for the repayments to start during Q4 of this year.
Retail investors: Seem to be slowly edging back into the markets, with downloads for the Coinbase app on the rise.
Election Year: Election years are traditionally bullish due to a combination of government stimulus, reduced market uncertainty, the presidential election cycle theory, increased corporate and investor confidence, accommodative monetary policies, rising consumer confidence, and significant campaign spending. Bitcoin, specifically, has seen a green October, November, and December in 100% of its election years during its short lifespan.

Ordinals

Another day of overall reds in the Ordinal markets. The major growth and volume seen at the end of September haven’t carried over into Uptober yet. However, looking at longer timeframes still shows green numbers overall.

Nodemonks lose a portion of yesterday’s only green gains, while Runestone almost and Taproot Witches fully reclaim yesterday’s losses, respectively.

Volumes have decreased but are still higher than during the recent Ordinal winter we’re all mentally recovering from.

Runes

DOG continues to lead as the top-selling Rune, generating close to $500K in the last 24 hours. The amazingly successful Billion Dollar Cat is back in top form today after experiencing a slight loss yesterday. This cat is slowly but surely climbing higher week after week—could it hit 100 sats soon?

In general, Runes seem to be experiencing less retracement than Ordinal collections today, with the average change for the top Runes still showing strong gains.
